I don’t know about you but coffee is an essential part of my day. While searching for Keto coffee recipes, I stumbled upon a YouTube video by Thomas DeLauer who had recipes for 4 different Keto coffee drinks.
The following recipe is one that I tried, modified, and instantly fell in love with. My modus operandi is to drink this with a light salad at lunch. It’s 400 calories of good healthy stuff that is not only good for your body and easily digestible but contains highly bioavailable and absorbable building blocks.
The Ingredients
- 10-12 oz of warm Coffee (2 calories)

What so good about these Ingredients?
Coffee
The question is, what’s not good about coffee. Here’s an article from CaffeineInformer.com that discusses 20+ Good Health Reasons to Drink Coffee.
Some of the health benefits from this article include the following Top 11 Coffee Health Benefits:
- Can cut post-workout muscle pain by up to 48%
- Increases your fiber uptake
- Protects against Cirrhosis of the Liver
- Lowers risk of Type 2 Diabetes
- Lowers risk of Alzheimer’s Disease
- Reduces Suicide Risk and Depression
- Protects against Parkinson’s Disease

Ghee
Ghee, also known as clarified butter, is pure butterfat extracted from milk. A typical stick of butter already contains a high percentage of butterfat, but unfortunately, it also contains additional water and impurities. Have you ever tried cooking with butter and ended up with a smokey mess? Well, the reason is milk solids contained in butter end up heating too fast and burning. With Ghee, you are able to cook without burning and have that tasty flavor from the butterfat.
In terms of good fats, Ghee is up there with the best. As you can see from the list of ingredients, just 2 teaspoons give you up to 225 calories of fat that is actually good for you.
MCT Oil
MCT, or medium-chain triglyceride oil, is a type of healthy fat extracted most commonly from coconut oil. Due to the short length of its molecular structure, this fat is easily digested and as a result of this, has many health benefits.
Collagen Peptides
Collagen peptides are highly bioavailable building blocks for renewing the body’s tissues including connective tissue, skin, bones, and joints.

- Can drastically reduce insulin resistance
- Lowers blood sugar levels and has a powerful anti-diabetic effect

Turmeric
This ingredient is another spice that has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is a strong antioxidant.
Suggested Equipment
You can simply mix this recipe together in a mug with a spoon but, to be honest, it’s much easier and mixes better with small blender. I suggest using the following:
- Blender or mini-blender OR
- Magic Bullet mixing cup OR
- Ninja blending cup OR
- Some other blending device that will mix only around 10-12 oz of liquid
